I don't see why it should be any more complicated than "Select a time/venue and people stick name on list". [/quote:28g52fh1]

So which pubs in Dublin are going to get involved?

I suggest we pick the one with the best selection and meet-up there. If more than one candidate then maybe a "stout crawl"

AFAIK theres no pub in Dublin (or Ireland for that matter) that sells all the indigenous stouts in one place. So I'd be on for a stout crawl <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

A stout crawl is never a bad idea, but if we found a venue who would like to host the dublin meetup on stout day, I could see some of them agreeing to rotate some stouts on for the day! It would also be a good little advertising plan for them to get some more customers in on the day.

Would this day also feature Guinness (and Murphys and Beamish)? The International Stout Day doesn't distinguish between macro and micro, and indeed their website makes mention of Guinness in the story of stout.

I am sure that all stouts of the world would be eligible. Just don't buy G/M/B if you don't want to support the macros - but they are stouts and its consumers of those we aim to change.
