TOPIC:

A lovely idea would be if Beoir-heads got together and organised an annual stout festival in Dublin every year to coincide with Arthur's Day. Irish produced stouts, independent or otherwise.
Here's all we need:
- a massive tent with big long tables
- busty colleens serving pints in traditional Irish "comely maiden" attire
- top notch trad session tunes
- stalls serving Irish grub
- AND, most importantly, a slightly ridiculous item of clothing to put a bit of fun into it. Something like liederhosen but Irish... how about a flat cap?

And a lovely girls competition and a beard competition. Entry to the beard competition should prohibit ones entry into the lovely girls competition.

This all sounds fantastic.

Aran hats and jumpers also welcome. I think the beard and lovely girls competitions are good ideas. Perhaps a strong man and a tug of war as well.
Of course, blind tasting of the stouts is the main event and a prize for the winner - the freedom to graze your sheep for one day on Stephen's Green.
