The stock seems to be turning over very quickly in Clarehall. Several of the beers that were there last week are completely sold out.

Most of the Porterhouse stuff is gone. 1.50 is the right price for a 330ml bottle of good session strength beer. I always thought it was over-priced until now.

There must be thousands of people around the country tasting beer for the first time this week.

With this massive push of craft beers and in particular Irish beers would it be a good idea for Beoir to give the Tesco supermarkets a poster/or leaflets along the lines of "For more information about Irish Craft beers look at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.beoir.org">www.beoir.org"

Tesco in Tramore had the full selection of Porterhouse beers in last week. Also stock the O'Haras range & loads of English stuff. No sign of Whitewater, Goose Island or Sierra Nevada yet though.....I'll check again in a couple of weeks.

Now off to Tesco in Clondalkin to see if they expanded their normally crap range yet!!

The real question is, would they want to do that? To direct people away from Tesco?

They have a wine club so the logical step forward would be a beer club.

That said, there is no harm in approaching them with the idea but in that case we might as well approach all supermarkets and off licences that sell craft beer.

We would need to change the policy about giving them stickers first.

Clondalkin Tesco don't have any Porterhouse stuff. Only O'hara's, Innis & Gunn and a few English beers. Still 5 for €10 on O'Hara's will do me <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
