Is there any sign of that changing. I always said I'd open a pub once I can buy a pub licence for less than 100k (and my mortgage is paid off). I just think at the moment, it's more likely I'll get my 30 year mortgage paid off before they loosen the licencing laws, and let people take little risks with niche pubs.
As someone pointed out in another thread; even places that are doing everything else right have to have the loud music on a friday night to get in the punters to pay high mortgages due to the price of a pub licence.
