I think we'd be more than happy to help with points 1 and 2.

Contacts with brewers and breweries in Ireland, large and small, is also something ICB could probably provide EBCU, for instance to encourage import of craft irish beers in our countries. [/quote:23w6rv4d]

For the rest, as Séan suggests, we'd need time (both elapsed and time from people) and money, so lets just see. 2-5 Years sugests a hell of a lot of organisation!

Absolutely. As a point of contact and source of information, we are here and happy to help.

Being a new member here I don't know the motives and aspirations that caused ICB to be set up but on the basis that it is growing nicely in the last 18 months then a natural progession would probably be a more formal group.

This sounds likely to me although whether it would be ICB or an offshoot it would most probably be rooted in this group. It is a good thing to have a target to aim for especially if the short term target is a piss up in a brewery.

And in its infant days as a thread on boardsie methinks

Meh, I'm not sure we count that. We set it up as a dedicated site exactly because boards.ie was too generic. This was set up to focus on amatuer and commercial craft brews, not booze. We're talking ICB as a site and dedicated community.
