Good chat!
IMHO going down the BJCP route and telling people their beer is or isnt how they've classified it is silly. And anyway, as soon as someone tells me what an IPA is (or a Weiss, or an English Ale for that matter) I immediately want to make a beer in that style that breaks the rules <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->

I can completely see how buying a beer that fails to live up to expectation would be frustrating, but, hey, some beers I like and some I dont, and finding this out is most of the fun of it! So sod the style guidelines, relax, and have a homebrew <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

Beginning BS: Might be the next stunt from Brewdog the way they are heading. Announce a new Imperial stout and you try it and find they have jipped you with a light black lager instead. Guinness Black is an Imperial stout coz they said it was. So there <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
