Had one of my Muntons cider and I'm having a bishops finger now... down with that sort of thing!

Keeping it local tonight, just polished off an Embra Amber Ale and a St. Giles Dark Ale from Stewart Brewery in Edinburgh. The Embra was a little tasteless, although I may have left it in the fridge too long. The St. Giles was lovely, very malty, kind of like a Belfast ale from Whitewater.

Got a load of 5am Saint from Brew Dog in my wardrobe, considering cracking in to it, doubt that it'll matter being at room temperature.

Incidentally, I'm discovering that Edinburgh is a great town for getting good beer, if any ICBers are over give me a shout and I'll point you in the right direction. I even discovered that I have a well stocked LHBS! Wasn't planning on brewing over here but that might change. He even sells hops to the nearest 5g, so I can go in with a recioe fir a beer and he'll measure out the ingredients. 10% discount for students too!

Bold Eleven. 11%ABV dark barley wine, brewed with prunes on 01.01.2011 and aged with oak <!-- s:twisted: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_twisted.gif" alt="" title="Twisted Evil" /><!-- s:twisted: -->

Rough (yet), tasty (dark fruits! oak! malt!) and bloody strong.

Just cracked open my first [b:12df2xid]Speakeasy Prohibition[/b:12df2xid].

A tad disappointed, I must say.

Nice though.

Flying Dog Doggie Style followed by a Snake Dog IPA...so far.

Doggie Style was quality, a pity I only ordered one of them.
