Had a couple of pints of Galway Hooker earlier and at home having a bottle of Brooklyn East India Pale Ale now. Tasty but nothing unique.

Pint of cask Copper Coast, followed by

Gouden Carolus Winter: 10.5%

GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS! Picked it up at Weylands [sic] on Camden street. I wish I remembered what it costs because I'd love to pick up a bunch more of these.

SUPER malty aroma and flavor (I'd say there's quite a bit of aromatic malt in there); it instantly reminded me of another beer but it took me a while to think of what it was: Pannepot. Considering this Gouden Carolus beer probably cost 1/4 - 1/6th as much as Pannepot I'm pretty happy.

It's like Pannepot without the spices, if I bought a ton of this, and added the Pannepot blend of spices and stuck it in a Calvados barrel for a few months I'm convinced I could sell fake Pannepot Grand Reserva.

Great stuff and has really NO alcohol burn; I don't know where all the alcohol went.

No, started in B&C... wanted to try Metalman's beer which was out of stock, so had a pint of Dark Arts instead, and then moved on to the PH before going in to the Olympia.

A pint of Buckley's, followed by a pint of GH, followed by a pint of O'Hara's IPA (first time I got grapefruit off it!) followed bya pint of Ór.

A very educational chat in the B&C, and good night was had by all.
