Hey Corkboy1. The Pale turned out really good - it definitely exceded expectations for my first brew. I'm having trouble letting it bottle condition long enough to improve cause its so drinkable as is. Bottled Coopers Draught a week ago & got "Canadian Blonde" fermenting now - very lively! How did your Pils turn out? I'm brewing that next.

Hi Beer Fan, and welcome. Dublin's good beer off licences are the green pins on this map[/url:8pxcyxw0]. DrinkStore on Manor Street isn't too much of a walk from your place of work, plus the Bull & Castle does takeaway beer as well.

Well, working in a brewery.... mmm. you should definitely be able to grab a pound of this here and an ounce of that there! Sweeneys in Glasnevin is good for beer, as is the Drinkstore in Stoneybatter. In the city centre there's a good one on Aungier st called Delaneys. All of these have very good selections.

Thank you guys will check them out. Might be able to grab an ounce of this and pound of that but i'm a noob so will start slow. I'm working in kegging at the moment and might modify a keg for brewing.

Site looks cool btw

Hi Guys !

I'm Kevin, french born, originally half from Belgium, half from Bretagne; and I'm currently living in Korea.

I've been missing our great european beers since I moved in the US 4 years ago, then in China and now in Korea. So a while ago, I decided to stop to brag about the sparkling piss called beer, that was sold where I've been living since I left the old country. I then rolled up my sleeves and decided to begin to make my own.

I've been brewing for more than a year now, and I'm facing the challenge of finding raw material here. We've got only 1 supplier here in Korea selling 9 kinds of grain, 3 kinds of yeast [u:vq09cew1]slurry[/u:vq09cew1], and 3 kinds of hop pellets... We're a few homebrewers here in Korea, 99% of foreigners from all over the world. Every single thing in our brewing style is, has been and will be DIY, soldered, cut, screwed and whatever God knows by ourselves. So far, it's a pain in the ass, but it's real fun and rewarding. Thankfully, I've got a great SWMBO who is keen on those things.

Currently drinking a nice stout and a belgian ale on tap (managed to smuggle some belgian yeast by air-mail). I just finished to build a hopback system with 3 pieces of this and that, and I'm gonna brew a batch of hop-bomb red ale this week-end.

I've learned a lot reading the posts of your great community, and I'm sure that I'll learn much more.

Aw, and while a teen, I've also been living for a few months in Armagh up North of your wonderful country and travelled quite a bit around Ireland. I must say that Irish people's kindness touched me deeply. I'm sure that someday, my road will lead me again to this wonderful place that is Ireland.

Cheers !

Kevin
