Good to see some fellow Kildare comrades on board. Welcome!

Hey all, I just finished my first kit brew there, a Brupak Colne Valley Bitter. Turned out great, see the photos. Had a tasting session last night and one of the lads drove so that "he'd have an excuse not to drink the beer!". By the end he was truly regretting the decision (much to my devious delight), all the other lads were loving it! So much so that they're trying to get me to brew more and have more of these sessions in the future. I suppose I'd better, wouldn't want to disappoint them..............

welcome on board, glad to see that your mates were open minded enought to try homebrew. it's always great to get praise on your first batch isn't it

Cheers. They're good lads alright, although when you use the words "beer" and "free" in the same sentence they are more amienable! Good reviews are great, but nothing beats the feeling when you open your first bottle and get a first sniff of your own beer!

Thanks for the link Saruman but think I'm gonna stick with The lads at the homebrew company, can call down when I wanna collect something and I think they've just cut their prices now so no difference with the other company. Shane's been really helpful to us getting started so that'll always makes the difference when deciding where to buy!!Have an Aldi Special Cider on the go now...Can't wait to see how that turns out, been bubbling away since last Friday..Any ideas how long should leave in Primary, should I do secondary or just bottle after a week or two???
