Hi Jimmy, welcome.

A good place to start is with a kit or 2, you can get your sanatition dialed in while you research where you want to take this (and get a few beers brewed as well)
The homebrew company[/url:1qr1l03k] and Homebrewwest[/url:1qr1l03k] are the 2 companys I'd reccomend for getting gear. They both do good starter kits and all the gear you buy for kit brewing will also be used in extract or all grain if you decide to go there.
Enjoy the journey.

Howya all
Glenn here in co. Galway. Long time lurker, 1st time poster. I've done 5/6 kit brews and some steeping grains. I've ordered equipment to do BIAB and AG, I'm also building a ferm chamber using the STC 1000 controller, fridge bits and the usual wood. Ideas got from here. So thanks for the help both past & future

Beer according to the father in law
1 is good
2 is better
3 is enough
But 4 isn't 1/2 enough

Jim here from Limerick. I'm new to the site. Enjoying this site & would love to give home brew a shot. Any suggestions on where to start? Would like to build up to a Paulner type ale ( presume that's an ale, obviously I've a lot to learn..). Any info or advice on where to get equipment appreciated.

Hi Jim,

I'm in limerick too and just recently made a paulaner clone, tis actually quiet easy. If you haven't ordered anything yet give me a p.m. and i'll walk ya through it with regards to what to buy and what to do, it's all very easy once you get it done the first time

Hello,
Niall here from Cork City. Been lurking on the site for a while
Just started my first homebrew. I got the Coopers lager kit and it's coming along nicely.
I'm not quite sure what I want to make next, perhaps something along the lines of Galway Hooker. In any case I'll probably have a lot of questions for ye in future

There's a great network of lads there in Cork, so you should never be stuck.
