Welcome to the group! First step towards going all-grain is making beer your partner likes <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Very true. I think I only got away with the hobby so far is because when I made the Canadian Blonde that came with the starter's kit she liked it. My father loves it so I will have to always have a case of beer for him these days it seems.

I did dabble in making some wines etc with separate equipment and so far so good. The all grain shall prove to be a tricky one to get around her. Unless of course I just get everything I need when she's away. Look hunny, it magically arrived today! :O

Hi There, Just saying hello.
Got into brewing about 4 years ago after buying Randy Moshers book on homebrewing while in Canada.
I mostly make steeped grain brews and am gradually building up the equipment as I go, built a 50 Liter (Keg) brew pot with electric element and temperature control for the last brew. And recently started kegging in those little 5 Liter kegs, great job as I hated bottling. I would highly recommend those kegs, I am gradually building up stock of them using Bitburger kegs as they come with the bung already in place for refil, but Bitburger gives a whopping headache if abused (worse than Harp could ever do). Lidl may have their kegs back soon...
That's it, I have 50 Liters of ale in a mix of 1.5 Liter swing tops and 5 Liter kegs, 23 Liters of Wheat beer in the fermenter, I'm in Monaghan if there are fellow brewers around.

Hello to all. Im not a home brewer but I've been getting into craft beer for the last year or so. Ive been reading here for a while and thought I'd register. As a barman myself I've been trying to spread the word about Irish craft beer (none where I work I'm afraid).
