Saw a link on another website (nothing to do with brewing) and saw the "any idiot can brew" page, and decided that i'd give it ago.

My name is Ian and I have extensive years experience working in the drinks industry. I have decided that I would like to attempt to learn how to brew beer and would be interested in hearing from anyone with any tips on training or indeed kits that I can buy. I would obviously like to first grasp the skills to making a superior product then upgrading as I go along

If I became proficient at it I would like to establish a microbrewery and start selling my products to other companies.

I see the Porterhouse as an ideal company upon which to base mine. I am under no illusions as to the size of their operation but one can aspire...

Any hints, tips and the like would be very beneficial.

Welcome aboard.

You are certainly at the right place to learn how to brew beer.

Take a look at the brewing knowledge section, especially on kit brewing to start off with.
