I can honestly say I don't have any "really" dirty secrets. When stuck with a lack of selection I'll probably fall to a pint of Carlsberg... or sometimes a can of Tuborg, but they wouldn't fall into the "I actually truely like this beer" catagory....

Before I left Ireland and when at home for weekends in the family local, I'd always have Smithwicks. In fact on the rare occasion you get a good pint of it, I find it more than acceptable when compared to the rest of the ubiquitous draught gank (once had pints of it in Baltimore, Cork - seemed like a different, actually decent beer).
My penance was always to go to the Porterhouse for their stout or something nice from a bottle,but judging all the good stuff I'm reading here, that's all going to change.

Yeah, Smithwicks would generally be my macro-poison too, or maybe bottled Guinness.

I have been known to accept Miller if that's all that's on offer. Whereas I'll never accept Bud <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Bud, carlsberg, heineken, bud light, these are all beers I'm happy to say have not graced my palette in years.

I do drink alot of guinness, kilkenny and murphys though.

I wouldn't beat my greatest enemy to death with a bottle of bud or bud light
