Ha, whoever came up with that is a genius!

I'd heard that from a few sources, but I'm always sceptical of internetty sources <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->

In Bradleys off licence 4 for € 10, great to see local micro can compete with english breweries.

I had this in Market Lane last weekend. 5.1% and quite nice, a lot maltier than the run of the mill. Wouldn't be to sure if it was more roasty or chocolatey but something along those lines.

Yeah Id say UCC is almost certain, not sure if they do tours as such, but Im sure if you contacted the right person you might get a walk around, although I know 'insurance' an stuff means the general student population don't even get inside.

I thought it was okay, very plain for a stout, didn't have a big roasty bite I like in a stout.

OK

Having done a little research on this

UCC has a Beer Manufacturers licence .
Elbow lane has a Wholesalers , Beer Distributors licence .

I think between the two , that allows for the bond to be the Wholesalers , and the manufacturing to be carried out by the Manufacturer
Obviously then the retail licence is covered in the restaraunt

Hi Guys. We've moved things on quite a bit in the past six months and we've finished the research phase of the project with UCC. We've now a much better idea of what's required and expected and we're excited about the next 12 months. Update below. Conrad

Research Phase Complete. Angel Stout now available on draught !!

3 December 2012

We have recently concluded the research phase of the Elbow Lane project with UCC and we now have developed three recipes that we believe work fantastically with food. Our customers agree as every batch sold out in record time, far outselling established brands that we stock on draught and in bottle.

Our next phase is to build our own micro-brewery in Cork City. While this is being developed and funded we have teamed up with the White Gypsy Brewery in Tipperary who have agreed to produce our Angel Stout for us during this phase. White Gypsy have a strong reputation and expertise in brewing and are respected industry wide.

Angel Stout will be available on draught from Market Lane from December 5th and from The Castle Cafe shortly afterwards. We’d like to thank Enterprise Ireland and UCC for being fantastic partners to work with and we look forward to the next phase !
