I love the Sierra Nevada beers
I love the Traditional styled Sierra Nevada branding and labels
I love the stubby bottles
I love the fact it has doggedly stuck to its pale ale recipe even though a million breweries have sprouted up copying the style (numbers maybe off a little!)

Sierra Nevada has style and character - as simple as that.

Cans have no style, Cans reduce packing costs, Cans are a symbol of mass produced beer. When someone says a can of beer to me - I see Dutch Gold,
People will argue that it tastes the same.. but beer would taste the same from a sterilised toilet too - or a shopping bag.

Didn't think so.

I personally am very disappointed with this development - hopefully it flops.

On the plus side- it's going to make an awesome beer can chicken!!!

Yes. It wasn't easy to find 'cos there's not a lot of it about, but I bought it.

I think you'll get used to decent beer in cans once there's more of it about.

I say fair play, a lot of uk craft breweries can their ale with no ill affects on taste. If it means we can get the same beer cheaper over here them im all over it. As they say, once the beer is decanted into the appropriate glassware then you're fine regardless whether it comes in a can, toilet or shopping bag <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
