ever bought wine from a can ??
Didn't think so.

I personally am very disappointed with this development - hopefully it flops.[/quote:33fu33fa]

Your outlook is, like, *so* 1999.

Starting from 2002, there are now 154 US craft breweries putting their beer in cans.

The SN press release covers all the benefits that have made them popular. None of which matters if the beer is bad, but some of the best beers in America - Oskar Blues Ten Fidy, Surly Furious - are available exclusively in cans. The best IPA I've ever tasted, Red Racer from Vancouver, came out of a can.

There's no way that the long-established craft brewers - Harpoon, Goose Island, Magic Hat, as well as Sierra - would have made the move into cans in the past couple of years if the perception of canned beer hadn't changed among craft drinkers in the US. BrewDog knows it, too, because they're on the bandwagon, and hey, if they're doing it, it must be cool.

Seriously, though, nothing wrong with cans anymore.

Having said all that, most people over here would be on your line of thinking, so I wouldn't expect SN cans to come over here anytime soon.

Looks a bigger than the 10 by 2 feet they quote in the voice over

I wonder how much?

Opportunity to set up a small scale canning op for craft/home brewers?

Bring along a 50 l keg and take home 100 cans??
