Good to know- I've got to go and stick a GNSS reference station there and was wondering about how I'd place the phase centre exactly at 0,0.

Ah, well grid 0,0 (eastings/northings) is off the south west, in the Atlantic The false E/N origin (the centre of the grid for ING at least, not sure about ITM) is at 200,000/250,000 E/N, spot on the 8°W/53°30' point.

You in the geo business? n1mbus is too.

Sorry Scoby, this is going way off topic. I shall ban myself shortly

It already is... all Porterhouse bottles have "6 degrees off kilter" on the bottom of the label. Maybe it's meant to have a double meaning.

Hi All,
Great to see our small beer company is getting so much attention... but to be honest, we weren't that sophisticated, we simply looked at a map of ireland and noticed that 8 degrees west roughly splits down the middle. thanks for the well wishes, long way to go before we are serving great tasting beers, but we will keep you posted. ps. you should see the kiwi try the haka, scoby is about as co-ordinated as a baboon.

hi guys,

a small update. After months of seemingly endless paperwork, and trying to source some brewing equipment we have finally got something to show for our sweat and tears (mainly Scoby's).

We have purchased Carlow Brewing's old 15hl brewhouse.... we hope we can produce tasty beers as good as they did.

You can follow us on facebook..if ya like
