I'm looking forward to discussing the mechanics for this year's awards. I hope we can replicate the strict criteria by which last year's winners were judged. Shall we be getting KPMG in again to audit the results?

As for standardz of judging at the well - I heard all about last year's!!!! - forget KPMG - It is a tribunal of inquiry one would need!!!!!

Nice article Ger. Hopefully I'll make the next meet. I'm disappointed I couldn't make it, especially after it was set for a Saturday. Something always seems to come up.


As for last years' awards, I'll have you know that Rock/Paper/Scissors is a recognised industry standard for Beer judging.

id like to clear up whilist i do my best to pull one pint before opening each day if there is not a flow as there was not that evening then you could get a dodgy pint. our line to keg is only 2 and a half pints. another point io note is the keg was nearly gone also so you know what happens to the last few pints of any keg not just hooker. finally ger and rebel two pints on me next time your in.

dave i don't think the lads were blaming you, there is a previous thread relating to the recent batch of hooker, i think it's an all over problem and not confined to any pub in particular. ya can still give the lads a pint if you wish.
