Sounds like a good night was had by all. I'm very sorry if the Hooker wasn't up to scratch and I'm not entirely sure why that was. As Dave said, it may be because it was towards the end of the keg or the beer may have been in the line for a while. As I mentioned on another thread, I also received a batch of cascade that seemed a little different - not bad, but lacking that characteristic citrus flavour/aroma. The good news is that I've got the old cascade hops again!! Also, I'd greatly appreciate it if you let me know if you ever get a pint you are not happy with so I can rectify the problem. If the beer was off, I accept full responsibility - Dave does everything he can to keep it in its best condition. Thanks, and there's certainly a pint on me the next time we meet!!

Feel embarassed at having made comments at this stage re Hooker. Hooker and Biehraus -a great combination! I have hardly ever been in the Bierhaus yet without having a pint of same! A habit which won't change. This thread has shown that between Dave and Aidan customer service could not have been higher - super standards from two great guys!! - no need for a free pint at all!

I starting to think that the 'off' Hooker I tried was a line and keg thing because the iffy pint I had in the B & C tasted very similar to a pint I had in the Hotel 12, Bearna, where one can only imagine the flow isn't too great. (I didn't see anyone else drinking it the 2 days I was there)

Let's stick it back on hoppy again and say it was a bad keg.....
