I tried out the mill in the shop last week, I don't have much experience with mills but I can't fault it. I wrapped a plastic bag around the mill to catch the crushed grain and I didn't lose any to the floor! I'm adding one of these to my list - as I was crushing the grain I came up with the idea of shaping a 5l water bottle to act as a grain catcher

For BIAB I was doing a very fine milling, so to do 15KG took me close to two hours from what I can remember.

Do you get better efficiency or something if you mill finer??

Got mine earlier today. Will try to find time to play with it at the weekend.

To get best efficiency commercial breweries (or lager factories if u prefer <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->) are milling malt to flour and using very fine filters to clean the wort.

Ok so the drill conversion took 20 mins, most of that time was looking at it then looking round the shed for something to use.
I took a few pics I'll upload in a while, just need to get some whole grain now and test the crush settings.
