We just knocked a 10er off our cheapie mill , it now:

only 39.95.

Continental Europe doesn't do crushed grains. They lose aroma and key factors so fast. You would never oxidise a beer, so why settle for crushed malt?

Vacuum packed hops in UK have 2 to 3 years from packing to expiry without any guidelines on storage temperature. European hops have less that 1 year, subject to proper storage at less than 5 oC, and are properly alum vac packed.

Are the Europeans just being awkward about quality, or am I missing something?

It could be Reuben, you'd need to mess about with a fitting, but it could easily be done.

I have one at home and you'd do enough grain for a standard five gallon brew in about 45 minutes by hand. I quite like doing the grinding.

If you got a piece of metal to fit the drill chuck and tapped the other end of it to fit the end of the axel, I think it'd work.

It looks the same as Partridge9 ( James' ). The thread looks like M6 ( but take the screw bit with you !! ) so a short M6 bolt will give the chuck ( assuming a big chuch on a 1/2 " drill someting nice to grip on. If its only a small drill ( rechargable for instance ) chuck then you need to cut the head of the bolt and grind 3 flats on the stub so that the drill chuck can drive the shaft without slipping.

Cheers
