I had a word with a fitter turner the other day. He was thinking around 200 bills for 2 rollers about 2 or 3 inches thick and 6 or 8 long. Big roller but pricey...too much for me I think so it's 26 euro in clery's for a judge pasta roller and a bit of fun wrecking it

by the time I'd DHL it around the price starts to get close to the price guys are paying anyway from HBC or from England , and there's just no way I'm gonna start milling 3kg bags and posting them around , I'd never have time to brew then !!.[/quote:g3kq7m3p]This is why I mentioned earlier the idea of ICBers living in proximity to each other clubbing together. The group buys in bulk and splits it out. From each according to their means etc... We'll have an ICB commune any day now!

No worries, touting ourtselves as up to 30% cheaper that our competitors, we're not really in a position to complain about competition, now are we!

Hey, can you get me details on German malt supplier and we'll ship in a couple of hundred kilos. Is the quality OK? Which types should we order? And 25 Kg or 3 Kg bags or both?

Well, I'm buying from a German homebrew store online[/url:2kv0m1q8]. He's selling 25kg sacks[/url:2kv0m1q8] as he's bought directly from the malster (it's not re-packed in any way. So far I've been using Pilsener, Munich, Wheat, CaraMunich and malted Rye, and they've been excellent with great efficiency. I can provide you with names of some German maltsers (Weyermann in Bamberg spring to mind immediately) if you do want to enquire. I can't remember the maker of the malt I have (the sacks are in the cellar )

I still think people should approach Irish maltsters for the base malts if possible. I'm sure the homebrew stores could do that and offer malt to customers a lot cheaper than shipping it from the UK, and it's eco-friendly

I'm on it. I believe there is a possibility near Galway. I'll call out there next week.
