Well Done Andy by the way - you pretty much held the fort all weekend - I think you are a real natural at these events.

What is this talk of an 'IFSC Gig' ?

In England Camra control the GBBF, its run completely by their volunteers. I appreciate that we are in no position to organise an event like this - it was nice to see we were heavily involved in Volunteering - we did the Beoir name no harm at all last weekend.

Aye, if I had a vote I'd vote for Andrew to be the inaugural Events Officer! A job well done.

Maybe we can do it as a group effort- Get a number of articles from the guys that were at the event.

Otherwise, I think it was a really strong support performance from Beoir, I'd like to get some feedback from the other members about how we acquitted ourselves; What can we do for the next festival to improve? I thought James idea to bring along home brewing books was fantastic and got a lot of interest. And the fact that some of the Beoir members had volunteered to work on the actual stands themselves really showed the level of commitment to the cause. I did say to the brewers on day 1 that if they needed an extra person to cover them at any stage to come over and talk to us.

Finally, I would love to see the site analytics to see have our visitor numbers increased since. The flyer was excellent by the way- well done on producing that.

Glad to see that so many people enjoyed the weekend - and Beoir deserved particular mention for the work that was put in. Thanks in particular to Andrew and Brian who actually were in the RDS longer than I was for the weekend - right from first thing Friday to pretty much the last to leave on Sunday, with Brian also doing a shift behind our bar for Saturday night. Thanks again Brian!

I think the organisers must be very pleased that everything came together so well, with no hiccups. The only gripes people had were minor and easily rectified for next year (like the food for example).
It was a little leap in to the unknown for the RDS, but they were delighted with how the weekend went - the security staff said it was the easiest weekend they put down, and the Gardaí also commented on the lack of trouble. It's great to prove to any doubters that you can run a trouble-free event involving beer.

Looking forward to next year already!
