Séan and I met Seamus O'Hara yesterday to discuss Beoir's presence at the festival (23-25 September). We've been offered a stand and have agreed in principle to take it.

The questions now are what do we want to do with it and do we have people to staff it.

I was thinking making it generally a recruitment thing: explain to people what we're trying to do and sign them up if they're interested. We could sell t-shirts too.

I say "we", but I'm going to be away that weekend. The more people who are willing to volunteer, the easier it'll be to manage.

Anyone who does volunteer will, of course, get free admission to the festival on the day(s) that they're there.

So can we have expressions of interest, please. Post which days you're available for, and if you've any ideas on other stuff we could be doing at the stand that'd be great too.

Now there's a good idea <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Count me in.

Now what are we going to put on the stand??? And what budget do we have for promo/info packs?

If we're putting something together it has to look nice and it needs to be started now. I've also asked for a page in the programme so we can put some basic who-we-are-and-what-we-have info in there.

The main thing I think we should be emphasising is the fact that the craft beers are available all the time in pubs. So maybe a full listing of Dublin pubs and then a selected pubs nationwide one? Perhaps on opposite sides of a leaflet?

Is there to be a home-brewing element to it or just craft beer?

Also what about give out a free pint for new members that sign up

If we have a what-we-do page in the programme then we should definitely mention it, and the resources we have for home brewers. But I don't see the stand as being primarily home brew, the way it was at Septemberfest 2009.
