I'm a fan of the "needing a substantial meal" clause written into Irish law.
There's loads of insane and nonsensical laws around the world regarding the sale and consumption of a few beers. I know in Canada that I would've been breaking the law if I'd carried the beer I'd been drinking at the restaurant bar, while waiting on a free table, from the bar to the table instead of having the waiter carry it there for me on a tray.
And we need to beat those damm Canadians on how wacky our alcohol laws are at the very least.
