The organisers of SeptemberFest in Farmleigh have invited us to participate in this year's event. Plans are still a little sketchy, but it sounds to me like we'd have something along the lines of the BIY event in Cork -- they'll give us a stall and we can bring along show-and-tell items, and information, for the punters. There [i:1owqdrnb]may[/i:1owqdrnb] be a separate demonstration area where we could do some more practical stuff -- this would be shared with the brewers who are exhibiting.
And then they're planning a series of lectures of 20-30 minutes in front of about 50 people and it's possible we might be allocated one of these slots if we want it. Because it'd be separate from the main tent, we may be allowed to give out samples at this, but obviously we wouldn't be able to give out samples at the main tent because we'd show up the commercial brewers so badly, and it's their gig <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="

Really all I'm looking for now is a show of hands so we can get back to Bord Bia and say yes: we're interested -- count us in. It's on from 11.30 to 6.30 on Saturday and Sunday 12th and 13th September. There's a set-up day until 7pm on the Friday and again for take-down on the Monday, so anyone bringing gear by car can do so without it affecting their, er, enjoyment on the actual festival days. The tent will be secured overnight as well.
It sounds like it could be great fun, certainly if BIY was anything to go by. Who's in, and how long are you available for?
