Great beers last night
RichieH's nettle beer rocked. Smelled of olives and a fizzle on the end that came from the neetles.

Sbillings' had a lambic. HE claims to have a keg of it at home so i will be camping out outside his house this weekend.

Kev's girly beer. Really nice tartness to this, perfect for a hot summers day. How come you don't get sour beers commercially? Whenever people try them they love them.

Bogmyrtles camomile beer, which i am currently working my way through at home.

Amazing to see so much difference in people using similar ingredients.

Great evening. I've been asked to pass along thanks from Trish for letting her join in. Also, big thanks from me for letting me mooch too.

RichieH's nettle beer was incredible, I wasn't sure what to expect from such a beer as I had never tasted anything like it before. There was a really nice dry taste at the back of the mouth and strange but nice aftertaste. I'm still trying to think of what it reminds me of.... some salad leaf, lambs lettuce maybe?

Sbillings' 'lambic', was quite nice too. Didn't like it at the start, but maybe that was just a taste shock after stout. Second and subsequent sips were lovely

Rossa and Kev's un-raspberried ales were very refreshing and would be perfect beach/bbq drinks. Kev's teetered on the edge of lemon alco-pop alright, amazing really, don't know how he did it.

Kev's extremely pink, like Elton John electric pink, ale was very tasty indeed. A more grown up, refreshing alco-pop, again very summery. It'd be very hard to order it in a bar, unless it came in a black bottle and was served into a black glass

And finally, the summer fruit infused camomile beer from Bog_myrtle was nice and refreshing. You could really taste all of the fruits in it without any one fruit being too overpowering.

Excellent stuff all round. There will be some weird experimentation going on with portions of my beer from now on!

Those pictures will need to be posted so that everyone can see the weirdness/pinkness of the evening

I have to say I was very happy with all of the beers that were presented last night. Not a dud among them and every one of them was creative and new. I think we all learned something from brewing these beers and last night we learned more by tasting what other people had done within the same parameters.

I've just noticed that the pink beer is being poured from a lemonade bottle! Could this have been a technique used to imbibe beer during the prohibition times?!
