I cartainly wouldn't have paid in to pay the equivalent of €5 a pint (and I doubt many others would have either). Don't forget the 'glass' was €2 from Bord Bia which was another rip off, but the missus bought it anyway (I don't like those horrible 'soft' plastic glasses they were using)

Anyone take photos? And did anyone "volunteer" for a write-up? <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

As I said I was ok with paying €2.50 because (a) it's good to see an event like this up and running, and (b) I wasn't drinking much.
I'm not sure of the arrangements for the stands, but from what I heard it was the brewers that came up with the price, to keep it consistent. Perhaps it should have been set by the organisers.

I think that €2.50 for a half pint is reasonable (by Irish standards anyway), you'd be lucky to pay much less than that for a half pint of non-craft beer in any random hostelry in this fine city of ours.
