This time it's the the Irish Cancer Society. They want to have alcohol advertising banned. Apparently we drink 700 times what we should, which works out to less than a pint of beer a year. Spouting the "No safe level of consumption" myth.
If you're on twitter and want to raise your blood pressure at the autocratic "solutions" to your drinking being discussed the tag #ewac2013 will do the trick.

To be honest I'm thinking it's too batshit to be taken seriously and can be ignored.
Get on to [i:1nn9j0wa]Prime Time[/i:1nn9j0wa] or in front of an Oireachtas committee, there, and see how far you get with your "no safe limit" policy suggestion.

I would nearly go as far as to say that you would absorb that much alcohol naturally over the course of a year from sources such as fruit, hand sanitisers on your skin etc?.
