To be fair I think people go there for the "experience" rather than exceptional beer. I was in New York last week and I toyed with the idea of going there, but everything I heard made it seem a bit too mock 'real New York' if that makes any sense (staff going out of their way to appear rude etc.)

eh.. any day now

I didn't get to visit anywhere near as many beer bars as I would have liked (that's what happens when your travelling companions are Bud drinkers) but I'll share my findings <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Cheese I figure goes under the radar, as did my large tin of wasabi peas I put on the bar in O'Donoghues on Merrion Row before Christmas. Not a word said as a group of six tucked in for almost an hour. Act like its OK and it will treated as such I figure.[/quote:2oux0oos]

this is the second time i've heard of wasabi peas in the last couple of days - where can you get them in dublin?

Aya Sushi Bar (behind Brown Thomas) has a small Japanese deli/shop section and you can get them there. But they're in a tin and expensive.

It's possible you can also get them in some of the Chinese/Asian supermarkets around in large bags, as you can in Britain, but I haven't looked.

Mmmm, wasabi peaaaaaas.
