I know that the last time the laws cam up for review a commision was set up to suggest recommedations and to hear submissions from interested parties; the LVA, MEAS, the Gardai are the names that sping to mind, there were plenty more, I wonder was there anyone there as a consumer advovcate? Or who they allow submissions from?
Unfortunately any commision can only issue recommedations and the lawmakers (who seem to have a fair few publicans in their ranks) can decide in their wisdom to ignore any suggestions for whatever ends they see fit. As we can see from the first line of the CSNA article:
