All pubs should let your bring your own if they don't stock what you want. Everyone's fed up with the same crappy beers on draught and even worse (and highly expensive) bottled beers.

Does your average "where are all my punters gone?" pub owner know this site exists?

Weatherspoons are having a "Real Ale Festival" in Britain at the mo. £1.79 for guest ales. Totally alien world to Ireland.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people are upset at the lack of Bud in my place. Or how many visitors we get who are oblivious to the whole idea that Ireland has more to offer.

Back to the BYOB thing, if i ever see a bottle of homebrew opened at one of my tables, well there would be.. Oh wait...

My wife was telling me about a place in Manila that sells craft beer, stuff like Sierra nevada etc.

Anyway her description of it is basically this. You walk in and there are fridges so essentially you have an off license and then you take your beer in to a room and drink it.

That sort of model might work, of course as John pointed out it will only work here until 10pm <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

It's not an off licence if the place you're drinking it is part of the place you bought it.
