Just sitting in the garden with my Porterhouse Oyster stout and I am thinking.
The Porterhouse is having a Heineken cup night and have specials on platters of food etc and I would love to go but I am brewing.
So I could head to the local pub however the beer is crap, though bottled Guinness might do me.
Is there any legal reason why a pub could not allow you to bring your own beer?
I mean of course they need to make money so charge Corkage.
Off the top of my head, €1.50 or €2 per bottle?
The upside for the pub is that it [i:3a14wagj]might [/i:3a14wagj]attract customers back and they do not have to order the stock.
It is just a sun induced thought perhaps.
You could just bring your beer in, perhaps leave it with with the bar folk and have them serve it to you charging you the corkage charge each time. If there is beer left over you bring it home.
It might be too much administration but it is a nice idea <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="

" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> It might suit rural pubs more than city pubs as they are feeling the pinch more than those in big Cities.
