I never had the pleasure although once I was told 'sorry mate, not tonight' by the bouncers which irked me a tad.

I was in messr's late one night and we were made exit through Qbar. i can concur the sell of vomit does exist.
i went in to get some porter a couple of weeks back, and a bite to eat. first floor bar staff tell me they are all out and have none in the pub. not happy i ask what they had...not much they tell me ...oh hang on i think the weiss is back....and maybe rusty.so i have one of each and dont really enjoy them but on way out i ask the large official looking man behind the bar on the ground floor will the porter be back soon?......i have some left down here he says ..maybe enough for 4 or 5 pints . my jaw drops , look at the watch and realise the show we are going to see is in 15mins. no time. no patience left. annoyed and disappointed i leave , head hanging.
the staff really are pants. i know we all made similar points about the porter house and the quality of the staff there but these guys are jokers. havent a baldy. reflects very bad with such a huge tourist trade they do there. many a time ive been able to fill in foreign patrond btter than the staff can...and back then i didnt even know as much as i would have liked but it was more than the whole staff put together.
shame on them.

I couldn't help commenting.

The other thing that surprises me is his painting of an old-fashion traditional Irish pub that happens to be [b:u4c37yqk]massive[/b:u4c37yqk]. I doubt that 1916 Dublin contained many four-storey pubs.

I think we should all invade his blog and go on at length about how great Blue Nun and Le Piat D'or are...
