This has been an on going issues for a while because the pub management are more interested in doing bud promotions that pushing in house beers

Weiss and Rusty are only €4 a pint whereas a bud is close to €5 a pint and similar with Guinness, Carlsberg etc. You could understand promotions of macro beer if their own product was more expensive but its not so they should be doing the exact opposite. Craft beer in this country will never increase in popularity if the brewers themselves wont even promote it.

Me moaning on the internet that Messrs don't promote their beer well might be of limited help also. But what can I do? Write them a letter in green pen about how great their beer is? Point out that 4 euro a pint is really good value whenever someone asks for the cheapest pints in Dublin? I occasionally persuade a friend to buy a weirdy beardy beer but on the grounds of wanting to still have a few friends I'm not going to hector them.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you just sharing your frustration.

The porterhouse idea of stocking only their own draught beer seems to work for them. Maybe wishful thinking but it would be nice to see it in Messrs

But the management of Messrs are not the brewers, they are two separate party's and as we can see with different ideas for the place

Who the hell let this particular management manage the place then? Because it certainly didn't start out that bad, many moons ago.
