I'd recommend Dusseldorf/Cologne. 2 great cities in their own right and both have their own distinct beer style (alt and kolsch) with plenty of great brewpubs in both places. It's a 30min train journey between the 2 and at least adds a bit of variety to your trip. Cheap flights can be got with Ryanair.

Isn't that an oxymoron?

I never knew it was any good for beer there. When i went it seemed as even getting a heino was a hard and expensive thing to do. Wasnt looking hard though i admit

Brussels? Not many places with a better beer scene - breweries aplenty (especially if you're into sours, as Cantillon is unmissable).

Only an hour's flight away - shouldn't be much more than a hundred quid return with Aer Lingus, or cheaper to the other 'Brussels' airport with Ryanair.

Prices for beer are pretty decent (especially in the supermarkets...hello Rochefort 10 for 1 euro 20!), although food and accommodation can be pricey (and often shite in my experience).

The city is a bit drab, but it's class for a three-dayer on the beer as I imagine your stag do would be!

Next time you are over, drop into the Beer Temple[/url:2hkqw25m]. I found it a bit expensive but it has a massive selection of Beers most of which I had never heard of.

Also this place[/url:2hkqw25m] is worth a visit, its a brewpub beside (not inside unfortunately) an old Dutch windmill. They do tours several times a day and their beer is very good.

I'm certain I'm only scratching the surface with those.

I was just gonna ask was there pubs with pale ales and IPAs or was it all 10% perfume.

Nice one.
