So im getting married in August and were planning the stag at the moment. My best man in insisting on going foreign so has anyone got a city they could recommend? Been at stags in UK, Scotland and Bratislava so something different with a nice brewery we can go for a nice curer in on day 2 <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

It's a cliché, but Amsterdam's ideal. Great pubs, great beer, and if you don't feel like drinking there's the Heineken museum.

Yeah, a second vote here for Amsterdam.

+1 from me:

Cafe de Wildeman; About 1/2 a K from centraal station and also the Windmill Brewey' "Brwery T'IJ" I think its called.

If Amsterdam hotels are too expensive then consider Leiden - On main Rotterdam, Leiden, Schipol, Ams Centraal train line.

I lived and worked in Leiden for a good few years ( also Ams! ) and was on expenses!!

[In those days I could submit a receipt on the back of a Heino beer mat as one side was white!!]

Will boooore the socks off you at the next meet of the North County Brewers in the Old Boro!!

April 16 th if anyone fancies tagging along to a north side tasting

Having just recently been in Krakow, I can recommend it.
Beer is cheap, about €2 a pint or 500ml anyway. Everything is about 1/3rd the priced of Dublin and there are some great places to go drinking.

Prague is great too (better for beer perhaps) but have not been in about 7 years so it might be more expensive than Poland now.
