As Noby says the amount of shaves you get from the blades will vary from blade to blade, there are significant differences from one blade to the next, that said any DE blade will get you a decent shave.
I get about 4 days out of a feather blade, that'd be 4 two or three pass shaves, if you want to remove and dry the blade each time then you'll get 5-6 days out of it as the oxidation of the edge tends to be the problem and not blunting per se.
I find the Feathers to be the sharpest blades and like them for that, but they are also one of the more expensive.
You can get the Wilkinson Sword starter packs pretty cheaply which do the standard black plastic WS razor.

If you look in TKMaxx also you'll probably get a brush and soap starter kit for around a tenner.
My advice is to avoid canned spray foam or gel and get some nice soaps or even creams which enhace the experience in a large way.
In all you'll be setup with a razor, brush, soap and enough blades for 6 months for around 35-40 quid, you can then see if you like it and upgrade the kit if you feel the need.
I have three razors, a WS classic that I keep at work for when I have to shave there, an old Gillette that was my Father in laws which is a very nice comfortable razor and then the expensive one pictured in my OP which can be a beast until you get used to it, but it is adjustable so you can avoid taking your nose off with it and then turn it more aggressive if you see the need later when you get handy with it.
There is a bit of learning to be done to use them but once you don't put weight on the razor and let the weight of the razor do the work you'll normally be ok.
