I am pretty sure the french use "acier" to refer to stainless steel - the germans call it "innox"

The original manufacture ( or maybe importer ) is Sprengler , a german firm I believe.

As this kit is for caterers then I am 99.999% sure it will be stainless.

I am sure it suitable for gas burners as what professional kitchen uses anything but gas?. The only question is the thicker the base the better - but you could always stand it on a thicker pice of ss or even mild steel or better copper to use as a heat diffuser

Send them a mail ( in english ) as to the thickness of the metal, confirm its ss and ask about shipping to ireland.

I would mention Beoir and say that if its good stuff they can expect some orders from the largest craft breaing group in Ireland!! If it is a german firm you will probably get a nice reply in english

Keep us posted as their stuff is very low priced

Will

I have been thinking of getting a kettle recently. This guy on eBay looks good, and including shipping the price is not too bad. Good kettle as well that comes with a tap and thermometer:
