Maybe it's just about educating the lager drinkers palette a bit instead of us making them corona. I don't buy the let's make lager and then they will try decent beer thing, I think just get people to try decent beer. Example: my brother loves lambic beer, he's not keen on the beers people usually use to 'convert' lager drinkers though.

I get really annoyed with anyone who says my homebrew will be dodgy stuff that will give them a hangover. A quick one hour explanation of my brewing process with all the technical details and comparisons to commercial breweries usually sorts them out on that point though <!-- s:twisted: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_twisted.gif" alt="" title="Twisted Evil" /><!-- s:twisted: -->[/quote:p6vnsifv]

I dunno. I think if people like lager let them drink lager. If they want lager, brew them lager. if you offer them a better quality beer they might drink it like they drink their usual watery pints and they'll not like he stronger flavours. I think you either have an interest in beers or you dont. Most people dont to the extent of most people on here and are happy just to drink their 6 cans for 7 euro...Tryin to 'educate'/convert those i believe is pointless

Fair enough, it's not something I'd class as a beer myself, horrible shite, but if the colour is off then you're probably right.

well i was to, to be honest. but i look at my mates and they havent the slightest interest. I tend to have alot of belgian beers at home (my gf is belgian we tend to be there alot and i stock the car up). The beers get drank but most of the lads cant stand them. Can't just sit and enjoy it, have to scull them, even the triples and other strong beers, instead of respecting whats in the glass and enjoying it.

Now i know some can change their opinion, but the vast majority wont. Thats what i meant. But for those that dont, brew lager, let them drink lager!!

Like TBN said; why the hell bother? Don't waste your time. It's less hassle to buy Corona for those who won't drink tasty home brew.

Corona doesn't skunk despite the clear glass. Miller is the same. I reckon the producers use reduced iso alpha extract to add what little bittering there is to the beer.

Yeah? The yanks all reckon that the mexican cervezas are a skunked style.....just repeating what I've read on HBT.
