Hoevels is a bitterbier right? Or do they do a Pilsener too? I'm a big fan of the Hoevels.

Regarding Jever Dark, there's certainly bitterness, but it's not in the same piney, resinous area that its sister has. It's perhaps a little thin, but the slightly roasty, choclatey flavours work well. I've had it a few times since, and it's a grand beer.

Hoevels was formerly called Hoevels Bitterbier, but they since changed the branding, so it's now Hoevels Original. But yeah, it's a lovely amber, malty bitter-like beer, and presumably lagered.

They do make a Zwickel, but it's only available in the brewpub in Dortmund I was there a couple of weeks ago[/url:164r6c1p].
