welcome les.
Pity we don't have any good homebrew shops here

Thank you all for the rapid welcomes! Coincidentally, I've just got off the phone to Dublin and told them I'll be accepting the new job.

Fortunately my wife speaks fluent Spanish (she's from Argentina) so I should be OK there.

<< By bizarre coincidence, I think I actually saw some of your pages related to the Scottish Craft Brewers just last weekend! >>

Small world!

<< And some picture of your wife's first experience of snow? That was you right? >>

Yes! That's me/her.

Cheers, Les

I've finally firmed up my start date for my new job in Dublin, which will be 2 July. I guess we'll fly over on the Friday or Saturday before so we'll have the weekend to do a bit of exploring.

I spoke to a woman at the Irish Consulate in Edinburgh the other day and she told me that I was Irish by birthright and I didn't need to do anything to claim it! How easy was that? I always knew I had the right to Irish citizenship but never realised I just had it automatically and no bureacracy was involved. It certainly makes me feel welcome.

So, all we need to do now is sell the house, pack, find and buy a new house, move in...and then I can start setting up my new brewery in Ireland. I can't wait!
