Les, I'm so sorry to hear what's happened. I can't start to imagine the frustration. Given that Irish companies are sucking every last soul out of Poland, Romania, Lithuania etc., I'm sure there must be plenty of other jobs. That is if you aren't completely soured towards all of us becuase of a bunch of idiots such as you've encountered. Please don't be.

Funny how "funding failures" gravitate around those who treat people badly.

Thanks for all of the good wishes and concern. The reaction has been universal shock and outrage at what they've done to me.

I've tried to withdraw my resignation from my current job but I don't hold out much hope.

I've restarted my job search and there is some hope in that there do seem to be some good jobs out there at the moment. Also, it looks like a good local job has just popped up that Mara should be in with a good chance of getting. I certainly don't hold this against Ireland in general and am still registered with Irish job sites so I may be over there yet...and Galway Hooker looks interesting. <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

I feel like I've made some good virtual friends here so I'm not about to leave although I may visit less frequently.

Whatever happens, I'll keep you informed.

I can't think at the moment why I'd want to keep it under the radar. It is a fact that NTERA offered me a job, I accepted and, after resigning from my current position, they phoned me to say they were revoking the contract. That is not libelous because it is a fact. If NTERA are unhappy with any damage to their reputation because of me making what they have done to me public then that is hardly my fault.

However, I fully understand that I might want to keep my plans on how to respond under the radar... <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

One hopeful sign is that Mara has just found and applied for a local job that looks good and she's been asked for an interview on Monday. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
