I found out today that my new employer-to-be in Dublin has decided to revoke my employment contract a mere 13 days before I was due to start! <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="

" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: --> They said it was some sort of funding failure that forced them into the decision but since I'd signed the contract and resigned from my current job (losing a redundancy package in the process) I feel that I've had a rather more serious funding failure. <!-- s:evil: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_evil.gif" alt="

To say that Mara and I are disappointed by this sudden disastrous and unexpected turn of events (it was only yesterday that I booked our flights to Dublin and they were talking to me about arranging temporary accomodation for us) is an understatement. Unless I happen to get another job in Ireland it doesn't look like I'll be joining up with ICB after all (even though I do have a T-shirt). <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="
