Its been my life long dream to bake a cake. I have never spent the few hours it would take to make one. But I do love cake. Now I'm going to spend hundreds of thousands setting up a bakery. <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

Having said that the program
1. Made craft beer look easy to make
2. Made craft beer look tasty
So I would guess a few people will decide to make their own beer because of it and a few more might decide to taste a different beer. So the program is very good for craft beer.

Having just set up my own microbrewery business - Clanconnel Brewing Company Ltd, in Co Down (1st beer planned for production early Nov) I'm intrigued as to how this series will pan out in relation to my own experiences and learnings to date.

They certainly made brewing look easy if though it was not quite perfect - some of the cutting wasn't exactly great. So in that respect it didn't paint a true picture of the brewing process. However that said, I'm in agreement with a Friend in Mead, that it should encourage more interest in craft brewing and all awareness is good for the greater cause.

I think they've outsourced the bottling of the beer to another brewery as they're apparently supplying 500 Tesco stores. I though I read somewhere about the Cropton or Crompton Brewery in Yorkshire.

Anyhow I wish them luck and look forward to trying the 'MoFo of ale' very soon.

I really enjoyed the program.
Yes it is a bit bloke-ish / Engl-ish and who in their right mind would set up [b:5ugrur73]any[/b:5ugrur73] business with no experience?

However watching a couple of professional brewers with good business sense start a micro brewery would make very boring TV.

The lads have a good rapore that is easy to watch. Anything about brewing on prime time TV has to be good for craft brewing.

Looking forward to next week.

Weirdly enough they went to the same homebrew shop we did in Yorkshire and bought nearly the same stuff (Mash Tun, same hops etc).

It seems we might have some sort of bizarre English sitcom alter egos
