I somehow stumbled accross this magazine, Beers of the World[/url:33mxulpg]. The covers look a bit silly on the earlier issues, but I was wondering if anyone has looked at this at all?

I see Iorwerth has a piece in the most recent edition anout "The beers of Eire[/url:33mxulpg] [sic]".

Anyway, in addition to that, I'm looking to subscribe to a decent magazine (in English) to further my beer and brewing education. BYO is one I was considering. What is the gangs opinion? I subscribed to Zymurgy for over a decade and then realised I wasn't reading it. I found there was little to grab my interest and there was a lot about AHA competitions etc. that I couldn't easily get involved in.

So I tried BYO and (so far) I think it is much better than Zymurgy. In under a year I've found several articles in it that have been real food for thought and I'll certainly be revisiting much of it when I restart brewing (hopefully soonish). So I definitely recommend BYO.

Second one looks kinda dodgy!

I got a subscription to "All About Beer" for my birthday and it's a nice read in my opinion. Lots of articles about different new types of beers, good reviews, and often articles about beer and food together.

BYO is a quality read, I reckon. A Eurocentric version of this magazine would be great. Can ICB branch out into publishing?

Oddly enough, we got a mail from a BYO person asking permission to use an image from my extract brewing guide (of the the manual whirlpool).
