Would it be easy to get some work experience in a brewery here do you think? I'd love to do that if I could, although I'm currently working so might be a bit difficult time-wise.

It's good if you can get work experience of course, but the wealth of info those guys had at Brewlab, it was like google for brewing. But you also got the chance to chat things over with 19 other individuals in a similar position, over the many cups of tea. Remarkably little actual drinking done, it must be said!

I'm friendly with a few brewers via work/Beoir so I think I'd not have much trouble personally. Wouldn't hurt to email them, as my ma would say, "sure they can only say no".

If I get the money together Id love to check it out.
No chance of me opening a brewery though more interested in starting homebrewing.

General Certificate in Brewing & Packaging Skills - We have been requested to run the General Certificate in Brewing & Packaging Skills earlier in the year, and the approved trainer (who comes from the UK) has been booked for the following dates: Feb 25, 26, 27, 28 and Mar 1 2013

It will be run in either Cork or Dublin

Free to those on Social Welfare and a scale from 1250->500 euro depending on how many do the course.

Im currently unemployed and would be interested in the course in Cork. Can you give some more info, not much in the link.
