excluding Irish_goat and myself, I know 2 others who are interested in doing the course, but I would have to check to see if this upcoming one suits.
IF they could do it, the count would be 16... but we don't know the secret handshake...
I was very interested in doing this course and tried to sign up today. I was told because I was not currently unemployed or a member company I was ineligible to apply. Its a real pity as having to go to the UK to complete this course will be much more expensive.

Could you sign up as a member company or get your employer to? Membership is free.
Have to be in the Food or Beverage sector but can be in any aspect:
Agriculture,
Construction,
Services,
Technology,
Manufacturing Durables,
Manufacturing Non Durables,
Manufacturing Electronics
Retail Trade
Transportation
Wholesale Trade
For anyone who can't get on the course, it is possible to study for it yourself, just register for the exam and IBD will send you the revision notes. I studied full time for 4 weeks for the brewing and packaging exams and got a credit in both. Be warned though that there is a very high failure rate for this exam.
Im unemployed and have just had a confirmation email about the course in Cork. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->
Signing up as a member company is a long process in itself apparently. I asked could I go on the course and pay the full cost ( I.e. without the subsidy the skillnet provide ) thus reducing the price for everyone but I still got a no.
