I've sent in my application so it's 7 participants(or more) now. The closing date is 8th Feb.
How many here are going?

I was considering this but as a homebrewer I cannot justify the high price for the low head count.
If they were heading for 20, I would do it.

Here's the sliding scale of costs based on number of participants:

Cost based on 8 trainees = 1,250 per person;
10 trainees = 1,000 per person;
15 trainees = 666 per person;
20 trainees = 500.

Each value includes a fixed cost of 320 euro for registration/certificate with the IBD, UK.

A funding level of 20% will be applied to the final costs of the training – based on the actual number of trainees attending. So, if there are 10 trainees, cost per person = 1,000 less 20% funding = 800 euro per person.

I rang them this morning and they confirmed it is Franciscan Well in Cork and 11 people registered so far.

I'm going to keep pushing it over the next few days to everyone and anyone I know - if we could get it to 15 people it will be 533 euro per participant based on their scale.

I would do it for 533 but I am not 'in the trade'.
Would they allow me in?

Having the same trouble myself. I work in a bar but from my emails that doesn't seem to include the "food and drink trade".
